COMPANY REGISTRATION
Incorporation of a Malaysian company under the Companies Act
In general, a company limited by shares is the most commonly applied type of business company for conducting business in Malaysia, providing limited liability to its shareholders.
Requirement 1
At least one person subscribes to the company's shares.
Requirement 2
The minimum paid-up capital is only RM1.
Requirement 3
At least one company secretary (the company secretary must be a member of any of the prescribed professional bodies or be recognized by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)).
Requirement 4
A registered office must be maintained in Malaysia for the purpose of handling all communications and receiving notices.
Requirement 5

Company Expatriate Permit or Employment Paid-Up Capital Requirements

Certificate of Incorporation
A Certificate of Incorporation is included in the company registration package. (SSM, the Companies Commission of Malaysia, will issue this certificate upon completion of the company's application and payment of fees)
Initial paid-up capital
The initial paid-up capital will be considered a cash advance placed in the company by the shareholders. It is up to the company to decide how it wishes to be recorded in the company's accounts.
Bulky item/parcel access authorization
Any large items/parcels (especially over 3 kilograms) delivered to the office must be approved first.
Company Seal
A corporate seal is an official seal used by a business and is used by businesses affiliated with a common law jurisdiction

Information required for registration of a Malaysian company
It is a statutory requirement to have at least one local resident director to set up a private limited company in Malaysia. Apart from Malaysians who are permanently residing in Malaysia, any expatriate holding a Resident Talent Pass (RPT) / Permanent Resident (PR) / Malaysia-My Second Home Program (MM2H) is also eligible to be made a resident director and can incorporate a Malaysian company. Steps to Establish a Company
- Online Registration: Visit our website and complete the online registration form.
- Email Submission: Download and handwrite the registration form, then scan or take a photo and send it to officer@rising.com.my.

After you submit the registration form, our team will begin the company name search. This step aims to ensure that your company name is unique and compliant with regulations in the database. We will complete this process as quickly as possible and notify you of the results once the review is finished.
Once the company name search is complete, we will notify you of the results. Please let us know the final company name you wish to reserve and prepare and submit the required documents as per our instructions.
Additionally, you need to pay the professional fee for company registration. Please include the payment receipt to confirm that you have completed the payment. This will ensure a smooth registration process.
Once your company name is approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), we will notify you to proceed to the next step. At this point, you need to submit the complete registration documents to finalize the company registration process.

All directors, shareholders, and beneficial owners need to sign the relevant documents. This step is crucial for ensuring the company’s legal compliance.
