The establishment of the International Development Research Office aims to advance the internationalization of Indonesia’s educational system and enhance Indonesia’s influence in the global academic and research fields. The office will focus on conducting transnational research projects, promoting academic exchange between ASEAN and global institutions, and strengthening Indonesia’s collaboration with other international educational organizations. Through this office, Ganesha University of Education will further expand its academic partnerships with ASEAN member countries, supporting overall development in the education sector within the ASEAN region.
At the signing ceremony, representatives from Indonesia Education Development Group and senior management from Ganesha University of Education jointly stated that this partnership will not only drive the globalization of Indonesia’s educational system but also enhance the international competitiveness of students within ASEAN. This strategic initiative will offer ASEAN students more opportunities for cross-cultural learning and research, reinforcing ASEAN’s role within the global education system and advancing regional integration and talent development.
The primary functions of the International Development Research Office include:
- International Research Projects: Conducting international research projects in the fields of education, science, and innovation to enhance the academic reputation of Indonesia and the ASEAN region in these areas
- Academic Exchange: Promoting exchanges between ASEAN and Indonesian students, scholars, and international educational institutions, providing opportunities to participate in global research projects and strengthening regional students’ international experience and cross-cultural understanding
- International Collaboration: Facilitating partnerships between Ganesha University of Education and other international and ASEAN universities, deepening cross-cultural academic exchange and supporting the internationalization of education in ASEAN countries
